I could waste your time and put fake news jobs below but that’s not what we’re about. In short, our searches showed up poor jobs with mistakes in the descriptions. See an example below:

A job in Shannon put as the West… Instead of Clare 😂 Tell me you’re from Dublin entering in jobs outside of Dublin without telling me……

I did find something interesting to share with you though. Barden released a blog on accountancy trends that had some interesting insights. It showed how the same title in a job is paid differently depending on where the person worked & their role specifics.

Although these jobs are for qualified with experience, I think it’s an important point to know for applying.

They also gave a really interesting breakdown of how jobs paid, whether they had a team to manage and what the salary was. They’re all key considerations for someone considering their options.

Notice the difference in bullet point 3 & 4.

Both €85k. One no direct reports and the other with a team of 2. The reality is, to progress you probably need to transition into management (not always but mostly).

To summarise, is it very confusing how Barden on one hand make mistakes with job postings then give us very useful insight at the same time? Here’s the report if you want to read it.
