🏖️😎 $80k for sun in the Caymen or €70k for rain + craic in County Dublin

Let me find my sunglasses and I'll meet you at terminal 2

Oi oi!

Welcome to the 20 people who signed up week on week, we’re glad to have you onboard.

😱 People talking behind our backs

Someone sent us this and asked for a comment. It’s from a subreddit for Irish accountants (which actually seems quite useful so I’ve linked it).

We’ve saved you the hassle of reading the whole thing by highlighting the funniest parts. I’ve included our responses below the screenshot 😂

“A real vendetta against current recruiters”

#VendettaGate - couldn’t resist. Can’t you just tell whoever wrote this is going out with a recruiter who is filling their ear with some nonsense about how the work they do is definitely worth charging €20k for a €60k salary job.

I don’t hate recruiters but I am confused why they get paid €20k to send me annoying messages on LinkedIn and then convince me to take one of their 10 jobs that are unlikely to suit me.

People spend an average of 2 years in a job and before us were limited to seeing options from 1 or 2 recruiters.. now there’s 1k+ on an excel sheet. We’re pretty chuffed about that. Ironically I also think our excel is good for recruiters if they have good jobs.

“Wondering what the catch is tbh”

There is no catch. This has grown from a bit of a joke until a lot of people started to subscribe and now I get the pleasure of having fear 300+ people read our emails. We’ve no intention of charging subscribers for it. There’s no point when we can get the likes of Bank Of Ireland Mortgages to pay our bills. That’s a joke, nobody will sponsor it because of my “lack of professional tone” - true story.

Now to the important part.

💰Here's 2 top (top) PQE 0 jobs this week

Application Closing Date: 1st October (12 days)

I knew two lads who went to the Caymen Islands. One loved the fact you could walk everywhere, it was tax free and the weather was incredible. The second hated it for all of those reasons. You’ll know if it’s your vibe, I’m only giving you the options.

Application Closing Date: 9th October (21 days)

I love this job spec because it gives you the key details at the start and keeps the spoof to the end. The first four bullet points are:

  • €70,000 - €80,000

  • Bonus

  • Pension

  • Hybrid ( 2 days in the office 3 days WFH)

I also love the fact it’s 0PQE, well paid and has a decent job spec. All arrows point to applying here.
