📕💰€60k to work at Amazon on a 1 year deal
Oi oi!
Good luck to anyone sitting Cap 2s this week. You’re currently sitting SFMA which would send shivers down any qualified ACAs back.
If you read this later and you reckon you’ve failed one of the first three, then you’re exactly where everyone else was at this stage when they passed 😂
PS.. I’m off on my holidays next Wednesday for two weeks, so this will be our last email until the first week in August.
🤑💰Here's 1 new top (top) PQE 0-1 jobs this week
Assume this job closes in 2 weeks: 10th July 2024
Would you move to Meath to make €60k a year? Obviously not. Would you move to Meath to work at Amazon? Hard to tell. This place is an inception-like location because it’s in Clonee which is both in Meath and Dublin 15… Clever marketing, nearly tricked me..
I think it’s Amazon because it’s a well known online retailer and amazon opened a centre in Clonee. Who knows 🤷♂️
A lot of my friends took 1 year contracts out of our contract because they hadn’t a clue what to do and it wasn’t an overly big commitment. You know they won’t be giving you any really heavy work (because you have one foot out the door in nature) so it can be a nice come down after the contract depending on how busy you were. It could also be a project so that would be interesting to ask in the interview.
They’re offering a completion bonus too. If you’re negotiating, and they try to get you to take anything below €65k, then ask for the difference as part of the completion bonus. They’ve already budgeted in their mind that this position will cost €65k plus a completion bonus. If they offer you €60k, it’s not because they don’t have the cash. You’d go with the usual “I know the market rate is about €62k, so how about adding the €5k to the completion bonus and keeping me at €60k for the contract”. That’s how I’d be handling it anyway.
Decent job, standard spec, could be worth getting involved. The recruiter is Rachel Tubridy and her email was hard to find on google but we did! You can contact her @ rtubridy@peoplesource.ie
